CLIA’s Michael Crye to Depart Cruise Organization After 12 Years |

![]() CLIA confirmed his departure, but provided few other details. “I can confirm that after 12 years of distinguished service to the cruise lines industry, Michael Crye is leaving CLIA to pursue other interests,” said the message from Michael McGarry, senior vice president-public affairs for CLIA. At CLIA, Crye was responsible for the development and execution of regulatory policies and monitored domestic and international legislation on behalf of the cruise industry. He serves as the industry’s representative before U.S. legislators, government agencies and international bodies. Before that, Crye spent 24 years with the Coast Guard and rose to the rank of Captain. A lawyer, he previously also had served as a special assistant U.S. attorney in Miami. |
