Bermuda set to host October 2015 America's Cup Races | ||||||||||||
The America's Cup host has been announced as the Island of Bermuda. This in many ways an ideal choice. Bermuda is known for it's hospitality and ideal racing conditions.
The America’s Cup World Series is the first stage of competition in the 35th America’s Cup and begins in the summer of 2015. Featuring all of the America’s Cup teams racing in one design AC45 catamarans, the circuit is an early opportunity to put points on the board that carry forward into the next stage of the competition. Overall ranking position in the America’s Cup World Series determines the starting points score of the teams in the America's Cup Qualifiers in 2017.
The one drawback being insufficient accommodation for the large number of sponsors, team members and officials involved with the races not to mention the large crowds such an event inevitably produces. Worldwide has chartered ships for accommodation at major sporting events where accommodation was at a premium and we know from experience that a one year window is very tight due to the cruise lines having already set their 2015 schedules and they are right now actively selling this window of time.
If you are involved with any sponsors or large groups with an interest in the America's Cup races - please contact us right away. |
