Among the 12 newly announced destinations
included in Oceania Cruises' 2015/2016 winter itineraries are Jeju, South Korea;
Luderitz, Namibia; Cooktown, Australia; and Boracay Island in the Philippines.
The line's itineraries (27 are brand-new) focus on longer, destination-intensive
sailings with 76 percent spanning two weeks or longer.
A focus on Asia, Australia and the South Pacific has three Oceania ships in the
region focusing on a dozen new ports of call. Other cruises include two Amazon
River voyages, six Panama Canal transits and a roundtrip Cape Town sailing
around the southern tip of Africa.
To offer a breakdown of destinations by ship for winter 2015/16:
Nautica will call upon Asia and Africa for eight itineraries (the majority of
them new for the line) with many overnights in ports like Singapore, Ha Long
Bay, Tokyo, Cape Town and Namibia. Nautica will also complete a 35-night voyage
from Hong Kong to Istanbul that navigates the Suez Canal.
Marina features two back-to-back South America sailings through Brazil, Uruguay,
Argentina and Chile before moving into the South Pacific for seven itineraries
throughout French Polynesia, Fuji, Samoa Islands, Australia and New Zealand.
Riviera will spend the winter months in the Eastern and Western Caribbean. A
12-night holiday sailing will visit ports that include St. Barts, Martinique,
St. Lucia, Grenada and Puerto Rico.
Regatta will traverse North, South and Central America, calling on some
Caribbean ports as well. Itineraries include the Amazon River and Panama Canal,
visiting Peru, Chile, Brazil, Costa Rica, Argentina and more. Regatta will head
to Alaska for the ship's summer season.
Insignia will depart from Miami on January 4, 2016, for a 180-night world
cruise. |
