Global Ports Holding
(GPH) has announced that
Carla Salvadó has joined the organization as Director of Cruise Marketing.
Salvadó
will be responsible for leading the marketing activities of GPH cruise ports
while giving support to the expansion of the company, GPH said in a statement.
Salvadó, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Sciences, is an
experienced professional in the cruise industry. In 2003 she started working in
the cruise industry as Secretary General of
Med Cruise (the Association of
Mediterranean Cruise Ports) and three years later she joined the Barcelona Port
Authority (APB) as Cruise Manager.
In 2010 she was appointed Marketing and Cruise Director of the APB and has
represented the Port of Barcelona in the Board of Directors of Creuers del Port
de Barcelona (2010-2013), Cruceros Málaga (2011-2012), MedCruise (2008- 2014
when she became President) and the ESPO Passenger Network. The different
positions held in MedCruise (from Secretary General to President) and her
successful career at the Port of Barcelona, the first European cruise port, has
provided her a wide knowledge of the industry.
