A prize draw, organized by the French Riviera
Cruise Club since 2007 on its website www.frcc.fr
offers a dream trip to the Cote d'Azur to cruise passengers who had stopped off
at one of the ports managed by the CCI Nice Côte d’Azur (Ports of Cannes,
Antibes, Golfe-Juan, Nice and Villefranche/Mer). The idea behind the competition
was to create a database which would enable tourist offices of these
destinations to send cruise passengers information in an attempt to encourage
them to revisit the Riviera on another occasion. This year's prize included 3 nights at the 4 star Hôtel La Pérouse in Nice, 2 nights at the 4 star Hôtel All Suites Résidence in Cannes, a dinner for two at La Mère Germaine restaurant in Villefranche/Mer, and car hire for the duration of the trip offered by the Regional Tourism Committee. The winner was a young Spanish woman, Estefania Duque Cardona, who had stopped over at the port of Villefranche sur Mer last September aboard the cruise ship Grand Celebration. This dream trip (from March 18th to 23rd) offered by French Riviera Cruise Club partners was Estefania's 4th visit to the region; a region which she adores and hopes to revisit. This time she was able to explore Monaco, La Turbie, Nice, Cannes, St Raphaël, Toulon, St Tropez and Marseille. The French Riviera Cruise Club had the pleasure of inviting the prize-draw winner to lunch in the presence of Mr. Cédric Cirasa, Deputy Mayor of Villefranche in charge of Tourism and Culture, Patricia Brégère, Director of the Villefranche/Mer Convention and Tourist Office, Caroline Valadié, Cruise Supervisor at the port of Nice/Villefranche Santé, and Muriel Losen, French Riviera Cruise Club. |
