Muskat, Schimelman take on new roles at Royal Caribbean Intl. |
||||||||||||||||
Royal Caribbean International gave two sales vice presidents new,
expanded roles. Ken Muskat, formerly North American sales vp, will oversee
consumer outreach efforts as vp in charge of the company’s Certified Vacation
Planning Agents. In announcing the promotions, Vicki Freed, svp sales, trade support and services, said Muskat will bring ‘a firsthand perspective and sensitivity to the crucial role that travel agents play in our business’ as he moves to the direct sales area, while Schimelman’s industry expertise will benefit the entire North American sales force. With more than 15 years at Royal Caribbean, Muskat has served in various positions in hotel operations, strategic planning, marketing and sales. Freed credited him with fostering closer relationships with travel agents and spearheading new and innovative programs such as initiating and starring in ‘Why Not Talk Cruise,’ a weekly online radio show. Joanne Schimelman moves from vp national account sales to
vp
sales and national accounts, taking on the day-to-day management functions of
the entire North American sales force. |
