The suites and saloons are naturally air conditioned. The system in
the suites is individually adjustable. |

Bathing cushions/deckchairs
These are available in sufficient numbers on board. Cushions and
blankets can be obtained from the deck stewards. |
Beverages
Non-alcoholic beverages in the suites’ minibars are included in the
price of the voyage. In the penthouse suites alcoholic drinks are in
addition included free of charge. |
Boutique
The boutique carries a wide range of exclusive men’s and women’s
fashion. In addition to many everyday necessities there are also
gifts and souvenirs. |
Bridge
Due to its crucial importance as the control centre for all nautical
and technical operations the bridge is an extremely sensitive area.
For this reason in accordance with international regulations it is
not open to the public. But in as far as this is in accordance with
nautical interests or the local regulations in force in coastal
waters, Hapag Lloyd is happy to provide passengers with the
opportunity to visit the bridge. In consultation with the officer of
the watch all passengers are eligible to visit the bridge. The
officer of the watch will be happy to answer any questions regarding
the itinerary, course and position of the ship, etc. |
Business Centre
In the Business Centre on the Europa deck conference facilities are
available in addition to computers with Internet access, e-mail and
printers. A secretary is available by appointment. |

Clothing
a) On board.
During the day, sports clothing should be worn. In the evening, men
should wear suits or jackets and women corresponding apparel. In the
Lido café we recommend casual clothing for dinner as well. For
particularly formal occasions evening dress is to be preferred. The
number and variety of gala events is listed in your travel
documents.
b) On land
On excursions or private trips on land, clothing should at all
events be comfortable and practical as well as adapted to the
destination. Sturdy shoes are recommended, while flat shoes are
indispensable on board and on land. |

Daily schedule
All important information regarding the daily schedule and general
notes can be found here. It is distributed to your suite every
evening, so that you can familiarize yourself with the events of the
next day. |
Dietary nutrition
We are happy to meet special requirements with regard to diet and
light food. Please inform us of your requirements on booking. |
Dressing gowns
There is a dressing gown for each passenger in the suite.

E-Mail
E-mails can be received and sent via your television screen. Your
personal e-mail address is on your journey confirmation documents.

Electric power
The suites are equipped with 220 V/60 Hz sockets. Each suite has a
hairdryer. A socket in the bathroom for electric razors can be
switched to 110 V/60 Hz. Adapters for other socket norms are
available on request. |

Fitness
The 20 m long Lido seawater pool is on the Lido deck. Depending on
the weather it can be half covered by a hydraulic roof (magrodrome).
The sporting facilities include a fitness room with ocean view and
modern electronic sports apparatus, table tennis and a jogging track
on deck (235 rounds for a marathon). A personal trainer, who also
offers free group training, is available for a fee. |

General
The travel conditions of Hapag Lloyd Cruises apply to all cruises
advertised on the Internet. All information on the Internet was
correct at the time of publication and replaces all previous

Golf
On the sophisticated golf simulator, many exciting courses from
throughout the world can be explored. A driving range with
teeing-off mat and a putting green are available. On all voyages you
can improve your game with a video analysis by a German team of the
best PGA professionals. For a fee. In addition, advertised golf
trips are undertaken. |

Handicapped passengers/wheel chairs
Passengers who require a wheelchair or special apparatus in their
suite on account of a physical handicap are requested to inquire on
booking whether their special requirements can be met. Suites 733
and 734 on the sport deck are equipped to cater for the needs of
people with disabilities. Instead of a walk-in cupboard they have
one with sliding doors as well as a large shower with a seat instead
of a separate bath and shower. |

Infotainment
Every suite has a television set, with which the television and
radio channels available in the various voyage locations can be
received. It also provides access to a well-stocked video and audio
library and a variety of travel information. Internet access on
demand. |
Ironing room
On the Pacific and Atlantic decks of the EUROPA there are ironing
rooms should you wish to iron your clothes yourself. On the
penthouse deck the butler will be happy to assume this task. |

The jeweller's shop on the EUROPA presents high-quality watches,
exclusive pieces of jewellery and flawless diamonds. Take advantage

Kindergarten
There is a children’s room on the sports deck for our little
passengers, where games, building and handwork are possible. If four
or more children are on board a trained nursery school teacher will
be on board too and will organize a customized children’s voyage
with special excursions and children’s events. A baby sitter service

The EUROPA has a laundry, dry cleaning and ironing service (for a

Library
The library contains an extensive selection of current fiction and
non-fiction as well as computers with Internet access. |

Means of payment
To permit cashless payment on board an account is set up for each
guest, which can be settled at the end of the voyage at the
reception. Travellers’ cheques and the German ec debit card can be
used for a fast and convenient check out on board, in accordance
with the relevant conditions. Payment by credit card is likewise
possible. |
Medical services
The EUROPA has a state-of-the-art ship’s hospital headed by an
experienced ship’s doctor. Patients undergoing medical treatment are
requested to report to the ship’s doctor immediately after boarding.
They should under all circumstances bring sufficient quantities of
the medicines they require with them. Prophylaxis against and the
treatment of sea-sickness is free of charge, together with treatment
required as a result of an accident caused by an employee of Hapag
Lloyd on board or during a land excursion organized by Hapag Lloyd
Cruises. Thrombosis prophylaxis is available to passengers on board
at cost price. Medical treatment is subject to fees in accordance
with standard medical fee regulations. The prices of medicines are
calculated in accordance with the so-called Red List. On selected
cruises a dialysis doctor is available on request. |
News
Depending on satellite reception an excerpt from the newspaper of
your choice (Süddeutsche Zeitung, Die Welt, Financial Times
Deutschland, Handelsblatt) is available every morning. The reception
of satellite television is possible, depending on the voyage
location. |

every morning, depending on satellite reception. |

Photographer/video producer
A photographer is on board during every cruise. The development of
passengers’ colour film is possible. Normally a video producer is
also on board, who can record passengers’ experiences on board and
on land in a video film. This video film is available for purchase. |
Post
Your postcards and letters are posted in each harbour. The postal
charges are debited to your suite account. |
Propulsion
The design of the low vibration Azipod propulsion on the EUROPA
incorporates the latest technological advances and has a total power
output of 21,600 kW. |

Safe/valuables
Every suite has a private safe in the cupboard for keeping
valuables. Further valuables can be deposited in the safe at the
reception. |
SPA
In the SPA Futuresse area, beneficial therapies with international
origins, combined with the most exclusive and high quality active
ingredients are available. Skin diagnosis, haute coiffure, beauty
centre, Japanese bath, massage programme, sauna, steam bath,
solarium – undiluted relaxation. |
Stabilizers
The EUROPA is equipped with the most advanced Fincantieri
stabilizers, which make the ship particularly steady. |
Suites/beds
All suites are equipped with two beds, which can be positioned in
advance standing together or apart, as desired. Every suite has an
optically separate lounge area. The sofa (not in the penthouse
deluxe and grand suites) can be converted into a 90 x 200 cm bed by
folding down the sides to cater for a third person. In the penthouse
suites, lounge and sleeping areas are separate. All suites are
equipped with: colour TV with infotainment programme, telephone,
minibar, hairdryer, safe and a walk-in cupboard. The bathrooms are
generously appointed with washbasin, WC, bath and separate shower
cabinet. The penthouse grand suites have their own sauna and bath
with jacuzzi function. In the suites above the Europa and Clipper
Lounges some disturbance may be caused by the entertainment
programme. |
Suite service
Breakfast as well as a variety of snacks is available as part of the
24-hour suite service. The fruit basket is replenished daily as are
the non-alcoholic beverages in the minibar. For other drinks please
contact your stewardess. Guests in the suites on the penthouse deck
enjoy round-the-clock butler service. |
Suites with a connecting door
On the Atlantic deck there are 16 veranda suites, which can be
connected in pairs by a connecting door, if separate bedrooms are
preferred. |

Table reservations
All meals in the EUROPA restaurant are served at one sitting. Table
reservations for dinner are welcome before the beginning of the
voyage and are taken into consideration as far as possible.
Confirmation in advance cannot be guaranteed. Reservations for the
speciality restaurants Venezia (Italian cuisine) and Oriential
(Euro-Asiatic cuisine) can only be made on board. If you prefer open
seating at dinner, please indicate this at the time of booking. |
Telecommunication
The EUROPA possesses a modern communications system with a satellite
link, which means it is possible to dial direct from ship to land
and vice versa. The numbers required can be found in your travel
documents. |
Tender and Zodiac service
In all harbours in which the EUROPA anchors off shore, passengers
are disembarked in the ship’s own launches or rigid inflatable boats
with outboard motors. In all other harbours the EUROPA docks next to
the pier. |
Times
All times cited on the Internet are local times. The arrival and
departure times are subject to change on account of the weather or
unforeseeable eventualities. |
Tipping
Tipping is not obligatory on board. Acknowledgement of particularly
good service is at the discretion of each guest. |
Tourism
Here among other things, land excursions can be booked and
information obtained on customized land excursion possibilities or
other destinations and future trips. Do you perhaps have a
particular request? The concierge team will do all it can to fulfil
it. |
